(KRNB) – Ranked by Forbes magazine as the richest African American, 61-year old equity firm founder Robert F. Smith – is worth a cool $4.4-billion, according to Forbes March 2018 edition on which he graces the cover page.
But, just recently Smith added another 3-billion to his wealth chest in a deal with Adobe Systems.
In October, Smith sold the Marketo cloud service company — which he acquired for $1.8-billion in 2016 — to Adobe for $4.45-billion…netting the big $3B profit.
Unfortunately, in spite of his wealth and enormous success, Smith found himself part of an important conversation about how he is often viewed as a criminal by police. In the video he talks about being stopped 23 times in the special dubbed; For Black Motorists, a Never-Ending Fear of Being Stopped
@NatGeo -Thank you for including me in a tough yet necessary conversation. #YouAreEnough
