ABC/Randy HolmesGolden Globe winner and newly-minted Oscar nominee John Legend will sing “America the Beautiful” at this year’s Super Bowl.
John’s performance will come as part of the pre-game festivities February 1 in Arizona, and it’ll be televised on NBC. Among the stars who’ve performed that song at the Super Bowl over the years: Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige and Mark Anthony, Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, and the late Ray Charles.
The national anthem will be sung by Tony-winning actress and singer Idina Menzel, best known for her Frozen hit, “Let It Go.” Katy Perry, with special guest Lenny Kravitz, will perform at the halftime show.
