Image Courtesy Epic RecordsCiara is among the first round of performers announced for this year’s edition of BET’s annual Black Girls Rock, which salutes the achievements of black women in entertainment, academia and philanthropy.
The network has announced that Ci Ci will take stage at the upcoming event, which also will include showcases from Fantasia, Faith Evans, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, who will receive the Rock Star Award.
Additional performers will be revealed at a later time.
Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, the Black Girls Rock 2015 event will be taped March 28 at NJPAC in Newark, New Jersey and is scheduled to air April 5 at 9 p.m. ET on BET.
