Ciara Responds to MTV Tweets About Old Rihanna Beef

by

Image Group LA/ABCCiara is getting the last word after MTV attempted to reignite a past beef between her and pop star Rihanna.

During the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night, MTV send out a tweet, since deleted, saying, “Luda, you know Ciara won’t say Rihanna’s name.”

The tweet, which was directed at Billboard Music Awards co-host Ludacris, was in reference to a 2011 Twitter fight between Ciara and Rihanna, which was later resolved.

The singer and co-host for the evening was apparently annoyed by the network’s tweet.  She responded by praising Rihanna’s performance.  “Thought She Was Amazing.1 Of The Best Performances Of The Night Don’t Understand The Need 2 Go Here. #What’sThePoint?” Ciara asked.

The “My Goodies” singer continued questioning the person tweeting and their experience, writing, “@MTVMusic Furthermore, who’s the ‘newbee’ tweeting on behalf of MTV?”,” and “@MTVMusic There’s no way someone of experience is posting content like that during a show of this caliber. God Bless #SpreadLove.”

MTV has not yet responded to Ciara.
