In the midst of treatment for stage 4 pancreatic cancer, civil rights icon, U.S. Rep. John Lewis will be on hand for the 55th anniversary march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. WATCH LIVE
While he won’t be among the marchers, Lewis’ office said that he’ll greet marchers at the highest point of the bridge.

Back in December Lewis announced that he as cancer and vowed to fight it and to “keep fighting for the community.”
