Alicia Keys, Andra Day, and Marsai Martin join ‘Girl Talk,’ POPSUGAR’s star-studded event with Michelle Obama

James BaileyAlicia Keys, Andra Day, Shonda Rhimes and more are set to appear on POPSUGAR’s upcoming event, Girl Talk. 

The one-hour special from the popular women’s website will feature a night of unforgettable programming including an inspiring conversation with former First Lady Michelle Obama and girls from the Girls Opportunity Alliance, a division of the Obama Foundation.

“Women’s History Month is the perfect time to pay it forward to the next generation of girls and to ensure they receive the support that they so deeply deserve, especially after this challenging year with the pandemic,” says  Obama in a statement.

She adds, “That’s why I’m excited that we’ll be able to come together with POPSUGAR to share the stories of the Girls Opportunity Alliance and to drive action during this pivotal moment for girls’ education around the world.”

black-ish star Marsai Martin, Storm Reid, and world tennis champion Naomi Osaka are among those, who will encourage and advocate for the power of learning and education, while drawing support and fundraising to the Girls Opportunity Alliance and inspiring a new generation.

Martin will share how she reclaims her own power after feelings of nervous or doubt in a talk titled “Stepping Into Your Power 101!”

The star-studded Girl Talk special airs March 25, at 9 p.m. ET on TLC and the discovery+ subscription streaming service. It will also air on POPSUGAR’s social platforms, including POPSUGAR.com, as well as its TikTok, YouTube and Facebook channels. An encore presentation will air at 10 p.m. ET on OWN.
