R&B singer Amber Mark has shared the video for her new single, “Competition.”

On the track, Mark says she simply wants to be “the greatest” and that she’s not in competition with anyone else.

“This is not a competition, you are not the opposition/ I just wanna see you win/ Don’t put me in this position/ This is not a competition, come on, baby, let me in,” she sings.

Mark and Cara Stricker co-directed the track’s stunningly choreographed video, which finds Amber and a team of dancers in two-piece suits and leotards in various open locations, where there’s no comparison.

“I hold this one so close to my heart. ‘Competition’ comes from a state of always comparing yourself to others and how ruthless that competitive nature can be towards yourself and towards others,” Amber says in a press release. “The song is a reminder of how much stronger we are together.”

“Competition” follows Mark’s single “Worth It,” which dropped in April. Both songs can be heard on Mark’s forthcoming debut album, which arrives this summer on London label PMR/Interscope Records.

Up next, Amber Mark will return to London for an intimate show at Lafayette on August 24. Mark performed at a sold-out U.K. and European tour in 2019 that included stops in London. For more information, visit AmberMarkMusic.com.
