iStock/NickNick_koAre you that somebody…who’s going to win tickets to Las Vegas and see the unveiling of an Aaliyah wax figure? Well, you could be.
The world-famous wax museum Madam Tussauds tweeted Monday, “We are proud to announce that Aaliyah will be the next iconic star immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas!” The attraction also invited fans to enter to win VIP tickets to a launch party celebrating the new wax figure.
Aaliyah Haughton, also known as The Princess of R&B, died August 25, 2001 in a plane crash in the Bahamas.
According to Madam Tussauds’ website, the unveiling of her wax tribute will take place August 22 and the VIP launch party is August 21. To enter, download The Aaliyah App, created by the late singer’s brother Rashad Haughton, then use it to participate in the the #ShowUsYourAaliyah social contest. Just share your best Aaliyah-inspired look on the app and via Instagram and you’ll be entered to win.
You can enter more than once, too, so just “Try Again” — as many times as you’d like.
There will be 10 winners, but note that you’ve got to be 21 to enter, and you’ve got to pay your own way to Las Vegas to attend the bash. Visit MadameTussauds Las Vegas for full details.
