Beyonce Lands Five Nominations for 2015 MTV Video Music Awards

Beyonce is among the newly announced nominees for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

The network revealed Queen Bey has scored five nods, including Video of the Year and Best Female Video for “7/11,” as well as Best Choreography. Other nominees include Kendrick Lamar, who scored four nods — the rapper’s “Alright” will compete for Best Hip-Hop Video against Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again,” and Big Sean’s “IDFWU” featuring E-40.

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran lead the pack, with nine and six nods, respectively.

Hosted by Miley Cyrus, the 2015 MTV VMAs will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 30.
