Beyoncé surprises Tyler Perry during the L.A. stop of Madea’s Farewell Play tour

ABC/Image Group LAWho knew  Beyoncé was a Madea fan? The “Crazy in Love” singer was recently spotted with her husband JAY-Z at the L.A. stop of Tyler Perry‘s Madea’s Farewell Play Tour.

Bey’s mother, Tina Lawson, captured the backstage meet-up with Perry and cast in an Instagram post.

“I laughed so hard and so loud that my folks were looking at me like i was crazy!!!,” Lawson wrote, sharing a photo of herself with her daughter, son-in-law, Tyler Perry and some of the cast from the play.

“We had so much fun watching Tyler Perry’s Madea last night! It was hysterically funny, the music and singing was incredible,” she continued. “Thanks for having us Tyler.”

Beyoncé also shared a fun moment while at the show, posting a photo of herself posing next to a Madea poster. Perry later reposted the image on his Instagram with the caption, “Noting more to say.”

As previously reported, Perry announced that he was retiring his Madea character with the release of his upcoming film, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral, and current Madea’s Farewell Play Tour.

After his L.A. shows, Perry took time to thank fans for their continued support.

“Thank you LA for 6 sold out shows!!,” he wrote. “You set another record for @madea there. The only artist to have over 10 thousand people in that theatre in the same day. You’re awesome! #MadeasFarewellTour.”
