Beyonce turned heads with her ultra-blonde, new hair color at a concert at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center Tuesday.
The singer decided that she wanted a bold new hue. “It was Beyonce’s idea,” her colorist, Rita Hazan, tells Us Weekly of color. “We’ve been gradually making her blonder, so it was a natural next step to just go for it and bring her to the lightest she’s ever been.”
While Beyonce has always rocked signature blonde hair, Hazan made sure that her new, ultra-light golden hue matched her complexion. “She can pull this off because it’s the right tone for her coloring. She said let’s go super blonde, the blondest you can make it,” says Hazan.
So how did Beyonce react when she saw her new color? “She loved it,” the stylist said, adding: “She’ll keep it for a minute because it’s hard to get her that blonde and keep it healthy.”
