Legendary emcee Black Thought shares his new album, Streams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane and Able.

The Roots member teamed up ScHoolboy Q, Portugal. The Man, rising rap lyricist The Last Artful, Dodgr and more heavy hitters for this lyrically challenging 13-track album, produced entirely by Grammy-nominated hitmaker Sean C, who has worked with Jay-Z, Diddy, Joey Bada$$ and more.

Streams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane and Able was originally set to be released in September. The album also features his single, “Good Morning,” featuring Pusha T, Killer Mike, and Swizz Beatz. The track pays homage to Black Thought’s hometown in Philadelphia and Killer Mike, the “official unofficial mayor” of Atlanta.

Vol. 3 follows Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, which were both released within months of each other in 2018, marking his first solo projects since becoming The Roots’ frontman 30 years ago.

Black Thought was also featured on Public Enemy‘s “Fight the Power: Remix 2020,” which also featured Nas, Rapsody YG, Jahi, and Questlove.

Streams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane and Able is out now.
