Jim Spellman/WireImageBobby Brown is asking for privacy after his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was hospitalized over the weekend.

In a statement released Sunday, Bobby said, “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

His attorney added, “The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming.”

On Saturday, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, was taken to a hospital in suburban Roswell, Georgia, after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in a home by her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend.

There are reports that Bobbi Kristina has been placed in a medically-induced coma.

Whitney Houston was found dead in a hotel bathtub on February 11, 2012, in Beverly Hills. It was ruled that Whitney accidentally drowned, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors in her death.
