Image Courtesy RCABrandy had no shame sharing her experience on a NYC subway. The singer shared a video of what occurred after she gave passengers an impromptu performance.
While wearing big sunglasses and a hoodie, a nearly unrecognizable Brandy is seen performing a heartfelt ballad to an unresponsive crowd. As her friend videotaped, Brandy stopped midway through and asked her fellow passengers for a response. “What ya’ll thought of that? Thought that was cool?” Brandy asked even thought everyone continued to ignore her. “Nobody heard me singing? Nobody cares?”
“I just gave that my all and nobody said nothing. People on New York are very rude, like, oh my God,” Brandy joked with a valley girl accent. “I just sang from the heart, OK…Nobody on the train responded. I’m very emotional right now.”
After uploading her subway performance video, Brandy took to her blog to write that she still has love for the city, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in New York. Ever since moving here in April I’ve made sure to REALLY experience the city. I’ve hung out in Central Park, Times Square, ridden the bus, and I’ve gotten accustomed to taking the subway too. I feel like a real New Yorker. I’m learning the streets and everything, y’all! There’s something different about NY. The energy and the drive of the people is just DIFFERENT. I like it!”
She added, “Recently, Frank Silent and I took a little subway ride after I’d left the gym. Frank, his camera, and I always equal a good time. I decided to hit the subway and sing my little heart out.
