Hot Girl Summer is showing no sign of slowing down: Rihanna has reportedly tapped Megan Thee Stallion for a new collaboration.

Thursday, social media was sent into a frenzy after Pop Hub shared a tweet alleging the two leading ladies would be connecting on wax for a single titled “Whip It.”

According to the tweet, a song by that title has been registered with the performing rights organization SESAC, which is standard practice before releasing new music.

While Rih hasn’t released an album since 2016’s Anti, this rumored paring with Meg could mark a glorious return to music for the pop star-turned-entrepreneur. In her absence from radio, the global star has built a beauty and fashion empire that includes her FENTY ready-to-wear collection, her Savage X Fenty lingerie line and her super-successful Fenty Beauty cosmetics line.

Meg, on the other hand, continues to make a name for herself as one of 2019’s most promising voices in hip-hop. If the collab does come to fruition, it would follow the Texas lyricist’s fiery joint effort with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign, “Hot Girl Summer.”

The song “Hot Girl Summer” just won Meg an MTV VMA trophy, and she’s teased that the video is “coming soon.”
