dvsn’s Daniel Daley spotted in the studio with 90s hitmaker Jermaine Dupri

Joshua HydeJermaine Dupri was so impressed with dvsn‘s sampling one of his 90’s classics, he hopped in the studio with the R&B duo.

On Sunday, the multi-Grammy-winning hitmaker shared a photo of himself and singer Daniel Daley in the studio. “”[Locked] in with @dvsn,” he wrote in the caption on Instagram.

dvsn shared the same photo on their joint Instagram with the caption, “Sorry [I] didn’t hit you back… [I] was working.”

Fans shared dozens of fire and heart eye emojis in the comments, in anticipation of the forthcoming collaboration.

“An R&B classic is coming,” wrote one fan, while another said, “Wow. This is about to be literally legendary. High key better than ‘Confessions’ and I’m an Usher groupie.”

Last April, dvsn, which consists of Daley and producer Nineteen85, dropped their anthem, “Between Us” featuring R&B songbird Snoh Alegra. The track samples Usher’s 1997 hit “Nice & Slow,” which was produced by Dupri.

“Between Us” also credits Dupri, Usher, as well as Manuel Seal, Brian Casey of Jagged Edge and others, — who also contributed to “Nice & Slow.” This marks the latest Usher/Dupri collaboration to be sampled, following Summer Walker‘s flip of Usher’s “U Make Me Wanna” on her 2019 single, “Come Thru.”

Bryson Tiller also sampled “Nice & Slow” on his track, “7:00,” from the Anniversary deluxe.
