by

Tony KrashComing to you live Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST is Erykah Badu‘s Quarantine Concert Series: The Apocalypse, but this episode is mainly for creatives.

The esteemed singer is now offering creatives and artists at home a chance to design their own interactive experiences in order to generate income, since tours and performances have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“All at once, it was like everything stopped. Not just for me… but for the people I hire to go on the road with me,” Badu shared in a statement. “Their livelihood was in my hands, and I knew I had to do something for us.”

The interactive series is a way to support what Badu describes as the “ecosystem that helps her grow.” She launched it last month, supported by her full band, on Instagram Live from her bedroom. Weeks later, she upgraded to host the second installment, Quarantine Concert Series, Apocalypse Two: The Rooms, from multiple rooms in her house.

Today’s episode will feature Erykah discussing her newest tech ventures and highlighting how helpful the serieswhich received more than 100,000 streams in the first two episodes, could be for other artists and creative types.

Fans have praised the star’s ability to maintain the integrity of her live shows, while still giving fans an unmatched, intimate experience.

Erykah Badu’s next streamed concert series begins this Sunday, April 19th at 8 p.m./EST on Badu World Market.
