Dallas County Sheriff’s Department Officials announced Wednesday morning, that there is an inmate that has contracted coronavirus. There was very little information about the inmate’s condition and it is not clear how the inmate contracted coronavirus. Currently, since March 10th the total of positive coronavirus cases has been increasing daily. On March 24, county officials said a woman in her 70s who had chronic high-risk health conditions has died from COVID-19. Her death marked the fifth in the county from the disease. 14 new cases of COVID-19 were also reported in the county, bringing the total of residents infected to 169.
