Disney Channel/Image Group LAABC’s special televised event Taking the Stage — Changing America has added even more powerful voices to the star-studded lineup.
Shirley Caesar, Chloe x Halle, Fantasia, John Legend, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Robert Glasper, John Batiste, Herbie Hancock and Cynthia Erivo will appear on stage during the program.
Performers already announced to take part in the affair include Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Usher, Common, Ne-Yo and Gladys Knight, among others.
Taking the Stage — Changing America will celebrate the Smithsonian Institution’s new National Museum of African American History and Culture.
The National Museum of African American History and Culture officially opens to the public on September 24, with tickets for entry now available.
Taking the Stage — Changing America will be filmed on September 23, and air on ABC during the 2016-2017 season.
