Prince Williams/WireImageKeri Hilson has been missing in action from the R&B landscape for quite some time now. But the “Knock You Down” singer is now claiming that her unexpected exit was actually a personal choice.
Sunday night, Hilson clarified rampant rumors that she had been pushed out of the industry with one simple tweet.
“While I appreciate the sentiment, contrary to popular belief, nobody ‘got me out,'” she wrote in response to a fan’s inquiry about her music.
“I left at the height of my career to handle some internal biz…soul searching complete.”
Since her time away from music, Hilson has expanded her resume to include films such as 2017’s Love by the 10th Date. However, fans are still eager to know what a 2019 record by the singer would sound like.
