The one year-end list that many music fans were anticipating has finally arrived: President Barack Obama has shared his picks for his favorite music of 2019.
“From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year,” he tweeted. “If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”
Obama’s list includes hot new stars like DaBaby and Summer Walker, along with legends like Mavis Staples and Bruce Springsteen. He’s also included songs by both Beyoncé and her sister, Solange, as well as tracks from J. Cole, Frank Ocean, Young Thug, hot Latin stars Rosalia and Ozuna, and rock bands Black Keys and The National.
And of course, Obama’s included Lizzo‘s “Juice” and “Old Town Road,” by Lil Nas X, on his list. You can listen to all his faves now via a Spotify playlist.
