Lorne Thomson/RedfernMegan Thee Stallion is one of the breakout music stars of 2019, and now she’s expanding her career into film.
The “Hot Girl Summer” singer/rapper, who recently signed management deal with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, is writing her first movie.
“Oh yes, for a horror film,” the Houston native tells Vogue. “Everyone knows I love horror movies.”
Megan is a film buff and knows what she loves to see on the big screen.
“I like movies that make you semi fall in love with the villain so you have sympathy for him. You’re not gonna want the villain to die,” the MTV VMA winner says. “I feel like, every good story you can’t just necessarily kill off the villain. Like, that’s why the Batman never killed Joker.”
Megan is featured on Gucci Mane’s new Woptober II album that dropped October 18, and also has a track on the Queen & Slim soundtrack being released November 15.
The Houston native is performing Sunday at the Mala Luna Music Festival in San Antonio, Texas. The two-day event also features Rick Ross, Summer Walker, Miguel, YG, DaBaby, Ari Lennox, Juice WRLD, and many others.
