Philly Mom Says Bullies Cut Daughter’s Hair; School Offering No Help

by

A mother in South Philadelphia says after her daughter was repeatedly bullied for nearly a year, things got even worse recently, telling a local TV station that bullies cut a large patch of hair from the back of her daughter’s head.

Yamina Zahir told Philadelphia Action News WPVI on Thursday that school officials at Commodore John Barry Elementary have done nothing about it.

“Nothing is happening. Nothing is being addressed. Someone is really going to get hurt out of this situation. She could’ve stabbed my daughter. Anything could’ve happened. She cut my daughter’s hair off. Who would do something like that?” Yamina Zahir said.
School officials in the meantime have issued a statement saying that after a “thorough investigation” they have found that the incident did not happen on school grounds.
