by

Freeform/Eric McCandlessSocial media is going crazy over rising R&B singer and actress Ryan Destiny, who plays the leading lady in Justin Bieber’s new music video for “Holy.”

On Wednesday, Bieber shared a teaser clip, which features him waking up and rolling over to Destiny in bed, who greeted him with a sweet smile.

The clip received over two million views on Instagram and tons of love in the comments. Chance the Rapper, who will be featured on the track, wrote, “Geez,” while fellow R&B singer Justine Skye wrote, “LET[‘s] GOOOOO! I see you, queen.”

Many may remember Destiny from her lead role on Lee Daniels’ award-winning musical drama, Star, which ran for three seasons on Fox. The show, which premiered in 2016, focused on a female trio of singers, navigating the highs and lows of the music industry in Atlanta. In the late 2019, the 25-year-old joined the cast of Freeform’s Grown-ish and announced her upcoming role in the boxing drama, Flint Strong, alongside Ice Cube.

But Destiny’s just getting started and is embarking on her solo music career with her recent single, “Do You.

“To be honest, in my mind, I’m still just starting,” she said during a Coveteur interview. “I think I always knew that whatever I did, it was going to be big, and I felt that way since I was young. To me, I still have a very long way to go, and I haven’t even done what I think I’ve dreamt up in my head since I was younger yet.”

The Ryan Destiny-assisted music video for Bieber’s new song “Holy,” featuring Chance the Rapper drops Friday, September 18.
