Sour Lemons: Azealia Banks Says Beyonce Is Bad for Feminism

by

Parkwood/ColumbiaAzealia Banks will not be part of Beyonce‘s Bey-hive anytime soon as the Harlem rapper went on social media to publicly denounce Beyonce and her new album, Lemonade.

The “212” rapper went on Twitter Monday to voice her issues with Beyonce’s HBO special, criticizing the pop diva for perpetuating “sad black female sufferance” and calling Bey “the antithesis of what feminism is.”

Banks vented her frustrations writing, “You been singing about this ni**a for years and he still playing you. That’s not strength that’s stupidity” and continues saying, “You keep crying over a man and perpetuating that sad black female sufferance and it’s Not good for what we’re trying to accomplish here.”

The Harlemite was apparently not intimidated by the Bey-hive. She responded bluntly to a Lemonade fan who questioned the rapper’s decision to “bring down another sister,” countering, “Because she’s not a “sister” she’s a poacher. She’s a thief. Sisters don’t steal, sisters share.”

Bank’s latest video “The Big Big Beat” from her recent Slay-Z mixtape is out today and available on Youtube.
