New Texas Bill Would No Longer Make It a Requirement for Hairstylists to Have a License to Work in a Salon.
Texas State Rep Matt Shaheen is pushing a new bill that would no longer make it a requirement for hairstylists or barbers to have a license to work in a salon.
Not having a license means they will no longer be required to attend school and learn about chemical usage, sanitation, etc.
A petition has been started at change.org to stop the bill. The petition claims that not having a license could put both the stylist and the client at risk for communicable diseases.
Would you go to a stylist or barber who did not have a license to do hair?
