It’s official – the Cowboys have used the exclusive franchise tag on Dak Prescott as they continue to work on a long-term deal with the star QB. The tag will pay Prescott around $30-33 million this season, all of which counts towards the Cowboys’ salary cap. The team has until July 15th to work out a long-term contract. The move also casts doubt on the future of WR Amari Cooper in Dallas. He’s set to become a free agent on Wednesday unless the team reaches a long-term contract. How will Dak respond to being franchised? Could he sit out the preseason if he doesn’t get a new deal?
