Mike Epps Tapped To Portray Richard Pryor in HBO L.A. Lakers Drama Series

Mike Epps will portray the late Richard Pryor in an untitled HBO 1980s-era series about the Los Angeles Lakers.  The show is described as “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s.”  Mike Epps was supposed to play Pryor in another biopic, but the project was put on hold.   There is no word yet on when the HBO series will air.   Will Mike nail it as Richard Pryor?
