It’s a big day for Jeff Bezos, who is officially stepping down as Amazon CEO and handing the reins to new boss Andy Jassy. Bezos has served as Amazon’s CEO since he founded the company more than 20 years ago, building it into the world’s largest retailer and becoming the world’s richest man in the process. But don’t expect to see Bezos standing in the unemployment line – he’ll still be closely involved with Amazon as well as other projects like his space-travel company Blue Origins – which will be sending Bezos into space later this month.
