Jemele Hill Leaves ESPN For New Job with The Atlantic

by

Jemele Hill was suspended for 2 weeks by ESPN over her Jerry Jones comments

Jemele Hill was best known for her revolutionary performances on ESPN for eleven consecutive years until being suspended from her last stint on SportCenter after describing President Trump as a white supremacist via a series of tweets. She was then suspended for a second violation in which she encouraged supporters of Jerry Jones and the DAlas Cowboys franchise to boycott due to Jones’ threat to bench players who do not stand for the National Anthem.

Since then, Hill has been writing for ESPN’s The Undefeated, and as of yesterday will be leaving the network altogether for a new job with The Atlantic.

Hill expressed, “I just hope that my success is in some way influencing other outlets to really be much more purposeful in promoting, advancing and recruiting people of color.”

Congrats Jemele!
