Ava Duvernay to Distribute New African Mythology Netflix Film

Ava DuVernay is the 1st female African American director whose movie grossed $100 million

This past weekend Ava Duvernay announced her excitement about distributing an all new Netflix film this March by the name of The Burial of Kojo. Being released under her production company, Array, The Burial of Kojo will be released Samuel “Blitz”Bazawule.

The film intertwines African mythology and socio-political issues in which a gifted girl tells the story of two brothers through her eyes. Her dreams literally turn into reality as she travels the unique space between life and death. Check out the trailer below.
