Lebron James’ new role with the Los Angeles Lakers isn’t the only play he’s executing these days. Just this week, Lebron opened his I Promise School, a new public school in Akron, Ohio. The I Promise School officially opened it’s doors on Monday, July 30th to third and fourth graders, with plans to expand by grade level year by year.
Of course if Lebron’s behind it, it for sure won’t be just an average school. Lebron’s I Promise School has many educational perks including free tuition, free uniforms, free bicycle and helmet, free transportation within 2 miles, free breakfast, lunch and snacks, a food pantry for families, GED and job placement services for parents of the I Promise students, and guaranteed tuition to the University of Akron for every student who graduates from I Promise.
