We’ve loved Tika Sumpter as Candice on Tyler Perry‘s “The Haves and the Have Nots”, and now we will get to love her on “Black-ish!”
Sumpter will play Rainbow’s mother in a throwback episode that could also serve as the launch of a “Black-ish” spinoff.
ABC is considering a prequel to the series that would focus on Rainbow’s early life.
No word on how this will affect Sumpter’s role on “The Haves and the Have Nots.”
