A Whitney Houston Hologram Is Coming

by

Legacy RecordingsA deal is in the works to bring the late Whitney Houston back to the stage…in hologram form.

Hologram USA, the company that created a sensation by bringing a performing hologram of the late rapper Tupac Shakur to the stage at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in 2012, has announced a deal with the singer’s estate to create a Whitney hologram.

According to the company, the plan is to create the hologram and content for distribution on the web via FilmOn.com and various traditional media outlets, as well as to create a live show that can tour the world in 2016.

In a statement, Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and president of the Houston Estate, says, “It’s a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one of the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come.”

There’s no word on which version of Whitney Houston the hologram will capture: 80’s, 90’s or later on in her career.
