Beyoncé joins Michelle and Barack Obama for YouTube’s ‘Dear Class of 2020’ virtual graduation

Queen Bey herself will join the Obamas as guest speakers for YouTube’s virtual graduation ceremony, Dear Class of 2020, as millions of grads skip in-person ceremonies this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Dear Class of 2020, you’ve worked so hard for this moment, and even more people want to celebrate you,” YouTube tweeted, announcing the livestream event on Tuesday.

The event will feature global leaders, celebrities, creators, and more, including Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, former Secretary of State Condoleezza RiceKerry Washington, and Billy Porter.

The graduating class will also enjoy musical performances from Chloe X HalleMegan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, and Doja Cat.

Other guests during the ceremony will include Janelle MonáeYara ShahidiLa La Anthony, ballerina Misty CopelandKevin DurantMichael Strahan, and Ciara and Russell Wilson, among others.

Graduates and supporters can watch the virtual celebration on the Dear Class of 2020 YouTube page, June 6th, at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT.
