by

Columbia RecordsBeyonce‘s self-titled album retains its number-two position on the Billboard 200 chart this week.

According to the publication, the singer’s fifth solo effort was beat out for the second week by Disney’s Frozen soundtrack, though it sold an additional 79,000 copies. To date, Beyonce has sold 1.5 million in five weeks.

Beyonce’s latest set was initially projected to reclaim the number-one spot.  However, industry forecasters didn’t anticipate strong weekend sales for Frozen, which has become the first theatrical film soundtrack to rule at #1 for consecutive weeks since Beyonce’s Dreamgirls spent two weeks atop the charts back in 2007.

Elsewhere on the chart, Kid Ink‘s first full-length album, My Own Lane, debuted at #3 with 50,000 units sold. Eminem‘s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 slips from #3 to #4, selling an additional 36,000 copies, while R. Kelly‘s Black Panties climbs from #11 to #10 this week, selling over 17,000 units.
