by

ABC/Lou RoccoCommon is warming up the residents of Chicago with a coat drive in his hometown.

The Grammy and Oscar-winner’s Common Ground Foundation is partnering with Burlington Stores and the non-profit organization Delivering Good to provide free coats to the needy in The Windy City.

“Myself and students from my @commongroundfnd kicked off the 13th annual Burlington Coat Drive in partnership with @burlingtonstyle,” Common commented on an Instagram photo of them distributing coats in downtown Chicago.

“Join us to help your neighbors in need stay warm during this holiday season by donating a gently worn coat at any Burlington store now through January 20, 2020.”

“Through their partnership with @DeliveringGood, your donation helps those in need within your community,” he continued. ”As a thank you for donating a gently worn coat at Burlington, you’ll receive 10% off your entire purchase valid through January 20, 2020.”

This is the 13th year of the Burlington Coat Drive, which has collected over two million coats in the past.

“I am committed to supporting and uplifting the people of Chicago through any ways possible,” Common added in a statement.

“The Common Ground Foundation has been one of the greatest and most impactful ways to give back to my hometown. I am excited to team up with Burlington and Delivering Good and bring it home so that we can give Chicagoans a sense of hope, keep them warm and make a difference in their lives.”
