Courtesy of LifetimeStarting this weekend, a new Lifetime limited series called Hopelessly in Love is bringing you the stories behind the relationships of “infamous couples” in pop culture, including TLC‘s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and football star Andre Rison, and Faith Evans and The Notorious B.I.G.

The three-part series starts this Saturday at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT with the story of Left Eye and Rison, the most sensational incident of which was the time in 1994 when Left Eye, alleging physical and emotional abuse, burned down their house after setting fire to Rison’s sneakers in the bathtub.

She was sentenced to five years’ probation and therapy at a halfway house. Rison himself is interviewed in the documentary, as well as Left Eye’s family members and others who knew the couple.  Left Eye died in a car crash in 2002.

On January 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, it’s the story of Biggie and Faith Evans, which Lifetime calls “the most controversial love story in hip hop history.”   The show features an exclusive interview with Faith and others, plus never-before-seen footage.  It covers the couple’s engagement and marriage, Biggie’s affairs with Lil’ Kim and Charli Baltimore, and the East Coast/West Coast rivalry that led to the deaths of both Biggie and Tupac.
