L-R: JAY-Z, ABC/Randy Holmes; Beyoncé, ABC/Image Group LAJAY-Z talks about being unfaithful to Beyoncé during their nine year marriage in a recent New York Times interview.
However, People magazine is now reporting that the couple’s five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy saved Jay and Bey’s marriage.
A insider tells the magazine, “Iif it wasn’t for Blue Ivy, they might not be together.”
The source adds, “It was very rough for them to stay married. It took Beyoncé a long time to trust again. She was struggling to move on and forgive. But keeping her family together was very important.”
Both Jay and Bey reference Jay’s infidelity throughout their respective albums, 4:44 and Lemonade.
As previously reported, Jay told the New York Times that he and his wife use their art “almost like a therapy session.”
He also admitted that although Beyoncé’s reaction to 4:44 — and his reaction to Lemonade — were both “very, very uncomfortable,” they “had a lot of conversations” and said that they both “have a healthy respect for one another’s craft.”
