Fantasia Says Grandmother’s Death Inspired Her to Lose Weight

by

ABC/Fred WatkinsFantasia credits her recent 20-pound weight loss to the death of her grandmother, the singer tells People

“I lost my grandmother untimely from a massive heart attack, after which I began to take notice of my habits, such as what I was eating and allowing to enter my body and monitoring stress — as well as the fact that I want to look and feel my best each and everyday,” she explains.

Along with eating a healthier diet, the “No Time for It” singer attributes her newly-toned body to a disciplined workout schedule and foods that help keep her fit.

“I do consistent variations of cardio, performance training and yoga. I have turned towards leaner meats, seafood, more vegetables, and cutting back or eliminating salts and sugars,” Fantasia adds.

Tasia continues to share videos of her intense workout regimen in the gym with fans on social media. The performer will soon hit the road this February for Charlie Wilson’s In It to Win It tour, with the “I Wanna Be Your Man” crooner and Johnny Gill.
