ABC/Rick PowellAfter announcing her pregnancy on social media earlier this month, Chrissy Teigen has revealed her husband, John Legend, is writing a song about their first child together — although he wasn’t initially planning to do so.
“A few years ago when lots of people were writing songs when they got pregnant and [John] was like ‘I just don’t feel like I’m going to be that guy,” Chrissy said on Monday’s FABLife. She quoting her husband: “‘I’m not going to write a song, I think [Stevie Wonder] with his ‘Isn’t She Lovely,’ how can you do any better than that?'”
Chrissy adds Legend recently changed his mind. “Yesterday he texted me ‘writing a song for our baby.’ Of course,” Teigen said with a smile.
Legend is known for writing touching songs for his loved ones. His biggest hit to date, “All of Me,” was dedicated to Teigen just before their wedding in Italy.
