Jimmy Fontaine/Atlantic RecordsAfter teasing fans Thursday with a 15-second preview, K. Michelle has released the full-length version of “Not a Little Bit,” the lead single from her third studio effort.
The emotional track finds Michelle confidently moving on from a relationship. “If you think I want you, not a little bit/If you think I need you, not a little bit,” sings Michelle on the piano-driven number, posted on YouTube. The track was produced by Elvis “Blac Elvis” Williams.
It seems the song stems from a real-life failed relationship. “Thank you for this song sir ‘Not A Little Bit’ he knows just who he is. F***’em,” K. Michelle tweeted.
Michelle’s upcoming project, tentatively titled I Ain’t White but I Hope You Like, will be the follow-up to her sophomore album, Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart? So far, she’s logged studio time with T-Pain, Sevyn Streeter and Timbaland as well as songwriters Diane Warren, Ester Dean, and Rico Love.
