Mariah Carey, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Hudson to Perform at BET Honors

MariahCarey.comMariah Carey, Janelle Monae and Jennifer Hudson are among the confirmed performers for this year’s BET Honors, which celebrates distinguished African-Americans excelling in music, literature, entertainment, media, service and education.

The network announced that Tamar Braxton, Smokey Robinson and Karen Clarke Sheard are scheduled to take stage at the ceremony, which will be taped inside the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. on February 8.

In addition, Ludacris and Mack Wilds, Scandal star Joe Morton and activist Rev. Al Sharpton have been tapped as presenters.

This year’s honorees include legendary singer Aretha Franklin, rapper-actor Ice Cube, Motown founder Berry Gordy, American Express CEO Ken Chenault and photographer and video artist Carrie Mae Weems.

Hosted by Wayne Brady, the 2014 BET Honors is scheduled to air on Monday, February 24 at 9 p.m. ET on BET.
