The singer recently announced via Instagram that his upcoming set will soon be submitted to be mixed and mastered. “Last touch ups to the album before it goes off for mixing,” he wrote in the caption, along with a photo of himself in the recording studio.
He also gave a nugget of advice to aspiring singers. “For all the vocalists out there I highly recommend becoming self sufficient in the studio. Started recording myself when i was about 13, i stole my uncles 4-track recorder… never looked back,” he wrote. “Saves so much time and frustration.. Not to mention money ;)”
The singer has enlisted DJ Premier, Jessie Ware and J. Cole for the set, slated to arrive later this year.
