Miguel is among the many artists that have been selected to take part in VH1’s You Oughta Know concert event, taking place tonight, November 12 at New York’s The Armory Foundation.

The singer tells ABC Radio that he feels honored to be part of the lineup. “It feels great man to have a platform as major as this, you know, include you and consider you to be someone that their audience should know about. It’s awesome man,” he says.

Miguel adds that he’s joined by a slew of “great” artists. “I think all the artists in this group this year, you know, are incredible, you know Tori Kelly is amazing, I think she has a lot of great attention on her and yeah, great, great, great musicians man and it’s really cool to be amongst them.”

The festival-style concert event will feature performances by each of the You Oughta Know artists of 2015, including Hozier, Ella Henderson, George Ezra, James Bay, Nate Ruess, Rachel Platten, Elle King and X Ambassadors.  In addition, legendary R&B singer Gladys Knight, Vampire Diaries actress/singer Kat Graham, Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer, comedian Hannibal Burress, Orange Is the New Black actress Taryn Manning and Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharoah will be on hand to present.

Viewers can expect never-before-seen collaborations and covers, as well as an inside look at the artists’ personal lives and careers through VH1 original short film profiles.

Hosted by former Spice Girl Mel B, VH1’s You Oughta Know Concert airs at 9 p.m. ET live on the network.
