Photo Credit: Daniel SannwaldMiguel showed off his versatility by lining up two unexpected guests on his latest album: Lenny Kravitz and Kurupt. While promoting Wildheart, the singer tells ABC Radio what it was like working with the rocker on fan favorite “Face the Sun” as well as the hardcore rapper on “N.W.A.”
“Those both happened so easily,” he says of his surprising collaborations, “I don’t even know if the best word is easily — but they happened very naturally and organically. Working with both was super easy and natural.”
The singer adds that it was surreal recording with the artists, considering he’s a fan of their work. “You know, and to be two musicians that I look up to and I grew up listening to is just crazy,” he says.
The best part? Miguel adds that he’s developed a real friendship with his collaborators. “Now, [we’re] like friends, you know, that’s a whole other level, which is cool,” Miguel adds.
