Prince is reportedly set to make a rare television appearance on an episode of Fox’s New Girl that will air on Super Bowl Sunday — February 2, 2014.
Sources tell E! News that the legendary entertainer, who is a fan of the show, will play himself. The upcoming episode will be centered around the singer’s notorious house parties, where he is rumored to come between the show’s favorite couple: Jess, played by Zooey Deschanel, and Nick, portrayed by Jake Johnson.
Further evidence that Prince will make a cameo comes from actress Hannah Simone, who plays CeCe. On Wednesday, she tweeted, “Big Deal Alert! Exciting news coming tomorrow…..” which Prince, in turn, retweeted.
A rep from Fox declined to comment when contacted by ABC News Radio. The appearance would mark Prince’s first-ever guest spot on a TV comedy.
