So how does the ranking work? AskMen publisher James Bassil explains, “The final Top 99 list is the product of both reader and staff votes.”

Thanks to her recent comeback, Beyonce’s position is a significant jump from her #32 spot on last year’s list.  AskMen.com says: “In 2013, Beyoncé officially transcended pop stardom to become something akin to royalty…[she] convinced us for the umpteenth time of her general unattainable perfection. We’ve got to hand it to Jay Z — we’d feel insufficient in her presence.”

Meanwhile, Rihanna went from #4 to #19. AskMen.com says: “…The Barbadian superstar…has been named the sexiest woman alive by more than one men’s magazine. Also notable: she can twerk upside down (see the “Pour It Up” video for proof).”

The duo comprise two of the 10 music artists that make an appearance on the list, which includes Miley Cyrus at #99; Katy Perry at #90; Ariana Grande at #73; Taylor Swift at #30. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was placed at #1.
