The singer experiments with her hair style as she rocks braids on the cover, which was shot by photographer Paolo Roversi.
“She really is one of the most creative, talented and inspiring women I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” says i-D’s Fashion Director Alastair McKimm. “The energy and enthusiasm she brings is intense. She’s the ultimate icon of our time.”
The cover comes on the heels of her new single “FourFiveSeconds” featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, the first offering from her upcoming album, tentatively titled R8. The set is said to have contributions from Mike WiLL Made-It, Ne-Yo, DJ Mustard and more.
