Travelers Coming To Texas From Coronavirus Hot Spot Are Required To Self Quarantine For 14 Days

by

Travelers from coronavirus hotspots in the United States have been ordered to quarantine for two weeks once they land in Texas. Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed the executive order Thursday afternoon. That order requires passengers on flights arriving from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and New Orleans to self-quarantine for 14 days. If you fail to do so this could lead to a criminal offense to you. These cities have been the hottest with the coronavirus and are growing every day. The mayor of New Orleans strongly believes that Mardi Gras could be the root of the city being hit so hard with the virus. For travelers coming from these hot spots will be required to fill out a form upon arrival and stating where they will be self-isolating themselves. DPS troops will make trips to the address listed to make sure they are in compliance and if they are not could result in jail time or a fine.
